We are 14 weeks into the NFL season and with less than a handful to go, for some teams, it’s time to start strategizing moves ahead of the 2022 NFL Season.
With that in mind, some of the teams that came to mind are the Carolina Panthers, the Atlanta Falcons, and the San Francisco 49ers as well as the Houston Texans. I will be sharing some takes and thoughts I have in mind ahead of the 2022 NFL Season with you.
Trubisky to Atlanta – Matt Ryan Leaves!

For the Atlanta Falcons, this year has been a difficult one to process and probably more so than ever before for their QB, Matt Ryan. With the 2021 season likely to be his last season in the NFL or at least with Atlanta, what is next for the QB position in Atlanta?
Meanwhile, for the Buffalo Bills, having Trubisky is more of a luxury at this point as its clear that their future lies on Josh Allen as long as he is healthy. For Atlanta, going after Trubisky is a low risk play especially as they wouldn’t be putting themselves in a position to lose a first-round pick and would have a young 27-year old at the helm. A QB with experience that could fit the mold of this Atlanta offense incredibly well.

Sam Darnold Finds a new Home – Houston Calling!

If there is one thing that this season has clearly indicated thus far is that Sam Darnold could very well be on the move again. Darnold’s fit in Carolina hasn’t been really to the expectations many had. While he had a decent start to his career with the Panthers, his relationship with players like Robby Anderson and others quickly deteriorated. Probably doesn’t help either that he’s dealt with some injuries and therefore Carolina having to scramble for a QB mid season and having to bring back Cam Newton.
With that said, I do believe Sam could be on the move. The Texans are the immediate organization that come to mind and here’s why. The future is still very unclear with Deshaun Watson as his current legal troubles remain unsolved. For this season, the Texans are counting on Tyrod Taylor and Davis Mills.
However, it would not be surprising by any means to see Tyrod Taylor let go by the Texans and bringing in Sam Darnold as his experience would be beneficial for Davis Mills to learn from. Sam would be a great fit to this system, especially as he enjoys throwing the ball and the Texans have targets like Brandon Cooks, Danny Amendola and will also have the opportunity to draft in the first round come draft time in 2022. Could be an opportunity to pick up a WR in the first round like Garrett Wilson from Ohio State.
Final Thought Ahead of 2022 Season
Jimmy Garoppolo To The Carolina Panthers.

Just a couple weeks ago, head coach Kyle Shanahan seem to suggest that Garoppolo could be on the move come 2022.
As we all know by now, the 49ers acquired via first-round pick last year, Trey Lance. It is clear that the first rounder is being mold to be their future QB. With that in mind, moving Garoppolo would make sense for moves that the 49ers will need to make in 2022. So, with what I said previously about Darnold potentially getting moved, could Garoppolo head to Carolina?
Frankly, I believe Garoppolo would make a great fit in that organization. With targets like DJ Moore, Robby Anderson, and New England potentially moving NKeal Harry who could be a Panthers Target, Carolina could mean business! The only reason I could see the Panthers staying away here though is Garoppolo’s injury-prone like history. However, hey! It’s worked out for the Colts with Carson Wentz, whose to say it won’t work for the Panthers?
In Conclusion…
The 2022 NFL Season promises to be one of the most exciting ones.
For starters, many suggest that the 2022 NFL Draft class could be one of the most exciting, talent-filled ones in years. Secondly, absolutely expect a lot of movement and activity to take place once the offseason approaches in March. If anything, be ready for an extensive amount of speculations to float around social media and many other outlets!
