Ime Udoka is down and out after one season bringing them to the finals as Head Coach of the Boston Celtics. Udoka stole the off-season spotlight suffering a season long suspension for conduct detriment to the team. Assistant Coach Joe Mazzula steps up in place of Ime who’s future with the Celtics was up in the air. Speculation on who else was involved and what would become of Udoka ran rampant after news broke. Many wondered if he would return as Head Coach after the 2023 season concluded but recent news ends that speculation.
The Brooklyn Nets have been marred with controversy all of last season and the trend continued into the past off-season. Kevin Durant requested a trade from the team and Kyrie Irving’s future was in question. Rumors swirled about Steve Nash’s inability to control the locker room and players displeasure with him bubbling over into the current season. Now six games into a disappointing start for Brooklyn, Steve Nash has officially been fired as Head Coach.
