NC State freshman Tommy White has been captivating fans on social media with his mammoth home runs. His dingers have earned him the nickname of Tommy Tanks.
Last week, White was named Collegiate Baseball National Player of the Week. On Thursday, White was named the Dick Howser Trophy National Player of the Month for February.

White had a huge weekend to kick off his collegiate career going 9-for-14 with five homers and 12 RBIs against Evansville. He smashed three homers and drove in six RBIs in his debut for the Wolfpack. His power bat was a big reason the NC State Wolfpack got off to an 8-0 start this season.
White followed up his first series with a massive week two of the season. The power hitter went 11-for-20 hitting four more home runs and drove in 17 RBIs. That feat would earn him the National Player of the Week honors.
Tommy White had a massive performance against Quinnipiac
On Feb. 25, White electrified college baseball fans social media feeds with huge game against Quinnipiac. In that game, White crushed a grand slam and a two-run johnson in back-to-back at bats for the Wolfpack.

White continues to create a positive buzz for College Baseball

For the month of February, White created a buzz for college baseball while the pros are trying to figure out their CBA and remain locked out. White led the NCAA in homers with nine, hits with 20 and RBIs with 29.
White is making the early case for the Golden Spikes Award which is handed out to the best amateur player in the country. Tommy Tanks is red hot right now at the plate and is must see TV when he is at the plate.
