Patriots at Falcons: Fantasy Football Preview

Must read

The New England Patriots are looking to win their fifth straight game tonight on Thursday night football against the Atlanta Falcons. But besides the game, you need to get a big win this week in our fantasy football matchup! Whether you’re fighting for a playoff spot, a top spot in the league, or to not be in last…you need to win this week. So let’s look at a few Patriots and Falcons players to keep your eye on for fantasy football this week.

Mac Jones: QB, New England Patriots

This may sound crazy, but I really like Mac Jones in tonight’s game against the Falcons. Jones is coming off a spectacular week 10 performance against the Cleveland Browns. Remember, the Browns coming into last week’s game had a top five defense in the NFL. He went 19/23 with three touchdown passes. That’s pretty good. This Atlanta defense is one of the worst in the NFL. They are penalized a ton and Mac could have some free plays to work with tonight. If you’re feeling gutsy, put Mac in as your QB1!

Kyle Pitts: TE, Atlanta Falcons

The Falcons do have one of the best rookies in the NFL in tight end Kyle Pitts. Pitts continues to be a menace in man-to-man coverage. Look for Kyle Pitts to be Matt Ryan’s main target with injuries and such keeping other Falcons offensive targets out for this game. If the Patriots play a majority of zone defense, then Pitts may not have a huge game. But assuming the Patriots mix in some man, make sure to have Pitts in your lineup.

Kendrick Bourne: WR, New England

This one is a bit of a surprise, but something in my gut likes Kendrick Bourne tonight. Bourne caught an incredible touchdown against two defenders in the Browns game last week. It looks like he’s becoming a guy that can also get you yards on the ground with sweeps as well. The Falcons will probably focus on shutting down Hunter Henry this game, as he has seven touchdown receptions in his last seven games. So that could leave Bourne with a LOT of opportunity in tonight’s game. Bourne could be an interesting WR2 or flex option this week.

In Conclusion

Here’s a few names to consider inserting into your fantasy football lineup. Make sure you check out all of our fantasy football content on the website in blog, podcast, and twitch channel form. Good luck this week everyone!
