Add “pastrami sandwiches and frozen cocktails” to your Fenway dance card, because Our Fathers has found a new home at 1301 Boylston Street. The award-winning pastrami shop from the Franklin Restaurant Group (Tasty Burger, Citizen, The Franklin) has come home to roost after closing up their Allston location in 2022.
Taking over the former space of the original Tasty Burger (which just moved to 86 Van Ness Street), the new Our Fathers is serving up the same great hand-cut corned beef and pastrami sandwiches you remember from the original location, plus a smattering of specialty sandwiches, salads, soups and sides. Stop in if you’re in the neighborhood for a Dip Sampler (hummus, labne, spicy baba and beet tahina); a healing bowl of Matzo Ball Soup; a house-made Rachel or Reuben sandwich; or a specialty Brisket Steak and Cheese Sandwich with hand-carved brisket, caramelized onion, cheddar, pretzel roll and beef jus. If you’re in search of a good sip, try a frozen Hemingway Daiquiri (Bumbu Rum, Maraschino Liqueur, Grapefruit), or work your way through the playful drinks list that includes craft cocktails and beer, sake, and wine on draft.
The all-new Our Fathers is open every day from 10:30am to 11:00pm, and plans to serve brunch is in the works. You can check out all the menus on the website and order online here, and give them a follow on IG to take a peek at the new digs.
