PAGU

Fourth of July is for partying, not for sweating it out trying to plan all the food, so let chef Tracy Chang and her Pagu crew take care of the cookout menu this year with some stellar takeout kits.

You can’t go wrong with a pile of slow roasted suckling pig and a clutch of bao buns if you’re throwing a backyard shindig, so grab a Suckling Pig Bao Kit for 2, 4, 6 or more people — you’ll get a heap of succulent deboned meat, plain baos, kimchi, cucumber pickles and a trio of sauces (Cranberry Hoisin, Sunflower Romesco, Thai Hot Chili Sauce) starting at $66 for two people. You can even go whole hog (literally) and get an entire pig with all the fixings for $750.

If you’ve got a steak crowd to please, order up a few Koji Marinated Wagyu Steaks, which are available in 16- 32- and 48-oz. orders. Packages run between $35 and $115 each and you’ll get a stack of raw steaks marinated in Shio Koji that are pre-cut into 8-oz. portions — all you gotta do is grill ’em up on the big day.

If you’re on dessert duty, skip the hot oven and scoop up a whole, 10-inch, pre-baked Basque Cheesecake — it’ll taste extra sweet under the fireworks. Get all of your orders in here ASAP so they’ve got time to roast and bake everything before you pick it all up in Cambridge, and give them a call at 617.945.9290 if you have Qs.
