The Steelers rallied from a 29-0 deficit against the Vikings on Thursday Night Football. Pittsburgh was driving down the field with less than a minute to play in the game, down 36-28. Ben Roethlisberger connected with Chase Claypool on fourth-and-1.
The 23-year-old wide receiver advanced the ball nine yards. Claypool foolishly celebrated pointing that he earned a first down. The celebration on the field ultimately cost the Steelers seconds off the clock.

Chase Claypool lacks the football IQ on the field
Claypool’s lack of situational awareness on the football field at the end of the game cost his team critical time and ultimately stalled the drive.
Following the celebration, the Steelers attempted to get the ball from Claypool. In the process, the Steelers lost 14 seconds on the play clock. Which was crucial time for The Steelers offense to potentially drive the ball down field and try for a score.
ESPN’s Ryan Clark took issue with Claypool’s celebration. Subsequently, the ESPN host went off on him during the show Get Up.

Following the game, reporters asked Claypool what happened on that play.
“Definitely gotta be better,” Claypool said.
