Concert Gallery: The Last Dinner Party

Must read

The Last Dinner Party played a sold out show at the Royale on Sunday for the Boston date of their US tour. The five-piece British rock band took the stage in coordinated outfits in their signature renaissance-esque style, which was matched by many fans in the audience. Their strong online community of fans has propelled them quickly to fame over the past few months, allowing them to sell out international shows just a month after the release of their debut record. The band played through their album, Prelude to Ecstasy, in its entirety, which resulted in a set that clocked in at just under an hour.

Lead singer, Abigail Morris, remarked that the Boston crowd was the loudest crowd she had heard so far on their tour after playing “Portrait of a Dead Girl,” and promised the audience that the band will be returning to Boston very soon. The Last Dinner Party initially gained traction online after the release of their first single “Nothing Matters“, and they closed out the set with the original hit. Their North American tour continues through the spring, before concluding with a performance at Coachella Music and Arts Festival in California.
