Blue Ribbon Brasserie

Blue Ribbon Brasserie, the third of a trio of Kenmore Square restaurants from NYC’s Chef-Restaurateurs Bruce and Eric Bromberg, is officially open at 528 Commonwealth Avenue at the Hotel Commonwealth, joining its sister restaurants and neighbors Blue Ribbon Sushi and Pescador.

Inspired by the brothers’ original 48-seat Blue Ribbon Brasserie which opened in New York in 1992, Blue Ribbon Brasserie features cozy leather banquettes, shaded table lamps and bistro tables as well as a 70-foot white Carrera marble bar, a bountiful oyster bar and a cozy PDR that can seat 16. A light-filled solarium with panoramic windows looks out onto the goings-on on Commonwealth Avenue.

The 260-seat spot boasts a menu of brasserie classics (steak tartare, country pate and French onion soup gratinée) alongside plenty of local seafood (freshly shucked oysters and clams, lobster, shrimp and crab), iconic New England fare (steamed lobsters, clam chowder and fish & chips) and meatier dishes (barbecued ribs, burgers and steaks). The cocktail program will feature classics from the original Blue Ribbon Brasserie alongside a robust selection of whiskies, bourbons, aged Negronis, beer and wine and more.

Blue Ribbon Brasserie will be open for dinner daily from 5:00pm to 12:00am (bar ‘til 1:00am) with a special Social Hour from 10:00pm to midnight featuring half-price oysters and burgers for night owls and industry members alike. Keep an eye out for info about lunch, which will launch early in the new year. In the meantime, you can scope out the menu below and book a table online here. Consult their website and socials for additional info and updates on all the happenings.
