The James Beard Foundation named the winners of the 2024 Restaurant and Chef Awards at their annual awards ceremony at the Lyric Opera of Chicago on Monday, June 10th. Congratulations are in order for David Standridge from The Shipwright’s Daughter in Mystic, CT, who took top honors in the Best Chef Northeast category, beating out fellow contenders Conor Dennehy of Talulla in Cambridge, Maria Meza of Dolores in Providence, Jake Stevens of Leeward in Portland and Cara Tobin of Honey Road in Burlington.
